The Call for Papers for the 2010 Game Education Summit to take place at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts’ Interactive Media Division, is open for submissions. We were absolutely thrilled with the submissions for the 2009 Summit and we have added even more categories for submission for the 2010 Summit.

Computer Game Education Review Call for Papers

Project Darkstar Webinar

A free Project Darkstar webinar for students will be presented on 21 October 2009 from 10-11am EDT by Owen Kellett from the project darkstar team at Sun Microsystems. New Study On Violence in Video Games

New research has been released on The Motivating Role of Violence in Video Games by Andrew K. Przybylski and Richard M. Ryan of the UNiversity of Rochester along with C. Scott Rigby of Immersyve Inc. This ground-breaking work explores the relationship between violent content in video games and people’s motivation and enjoyment of game play.

Game Education Summit 2009 Call For Papers

The second annual Game Education Summit (GES) at the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University June 16-17, 2009 is seeking paper proposals from the academic, creative and industrial communities.  Through this annual event we aim to disseminate the most recent, groundbreaking work on games as education as well as game research.
